The funniest thing that I have seen, while at work, was in the early eighties while I was at RMC. My supervisor at the time was Early Young. I don't know about your supervisors..."BUT THIS MAN DIDN'T PLAY!!" Anyway, while I was standing near the chow hall with some other officer's, he walked towards us, while yelling, "You need to get busy, skakin' down these convicts!!" Before going any further with his next "Verbal order", a seagull did "a drive by", and dumped a load of crap on him! As we watched him walk away, another seagull, aka, seagull #1's "homie", took him out with another hit! Had to be one of the funniest thing's!

OMG! I think I would have laughed myself into a coma.
I saw this female officer walking real fast across the compound one time yelling at an inmate. There were probably two hundred inmates watching her. The more she yelled, the faster she walked. When she got about 20 yards from the inmate she was yelling at, she stepped in a hole and fell! BBBWWWAAA!!!! It probably wouldn't have been so funny to me except that she loved to grandstand when she had an audience. I laughed for days over that.

I had this female Capt at New River back in 98 ... one night we had a fight break out between 2 inmates ... after everything was settled down we had both inmates property in the laundry room and the Capt came walking in, she started looking through one of the lockers and pulled out a small square shaped package ... as she held it she opened the package and pulled something out, looked at it and said "wow this is a funny looking balloon" ... as it turns out the package was a used rerolled condom.

While running yards at the big house, I had just sent out a i/m and held up the next one to get some space between them. I let him go and she took off running and screaming at the inmate ahead. Well, first one turned around and started running back at the other one. With both inmates handcuffed behind their back they looked like two chickens coming across the barnyard. When they met up all they could do was peck at each other like a pair of hens fighting over a rooster. Which was exactly what they were fighting about. I was laughing so hard I almost hurt myself.

I remember working the West Door on midnight shift. Garment factory was out to work. A 10-24 was called in the garment factory and everyone was on the run. "Too Tall Hall" was in the middle of the pack. He stood out like a sore thumb because he was head and shoulders above most everybody and his new meds had him looking like he was in a trance most of the time. Anyway, he was at a steady trot down the West Door ramp and all of a sudden his upper body just seemed to outrun his lower body and B-O-O-M, down he went. Slid the rest of the way down the ramp. I thought I was gonna die!! Some of the guys helped him up and walked him back up the ramp and to the clinic. He was a mess. Dirt and scratches all over him, pockets torn up on his shirt. I felt sorry for the guy, but it was absolutely hilarious!! I still chuckle every time I think about it. He was a great guy. Fun to work with until his meds were changed. Kinda changed him over night. He was like a completely different person. Hope he is doing well where ever he is!!

Years ago@ FSP I remember Big Bubba B. responding to a 10-24 hit one of the ripples in the main corridor just right and went down. It looked like a Boeing 747 sliding down the runway with no landing gears.
