The War on Christmas and Christianity had been all over our country for about ten years now. It has become the norm in America now for the minority to have the biggest voice and the most power. My wife has to say "Happy Holidays" to customers at her job, she is not allowed to say "Merry Christmas." I have complete respect for all opinions and religions, but I did not play P.C. this year...Everyone received a "Christmas" card from me this year, even the ACLU and Americans for Separation of Church and State.....

At my other job if you or we wish to say, "Merry Christmas", or any other salutation, you may do so without fear of reprocussions from management. If the customer does not like it, we are sorry, but if you are so shallow you cannot respect others, go elsewhere. 'Course this is the same establishment that has a sign posted stating, "Sexual harassment will not be reported, but it will be graded!" Having read the last few months entries (have not been here in a while), I'd like to drop a couple of views in the mix. If there is a God and it is the same as that God which Christians and Muslims worship, why would that God who should be reasonably bright allow the two sects following his son's/prophet's teachings wage centuries of warfare trying to kill each other off? Why would a kind and benevolent God allow innocent children to be molested or die at the hand of man? A preacher standing at the head of his flock, presiding over the funeral of a crimninaly mutilated baby stating, "It was God's will and (baby's name) is in a better place.", must be smoking crack if he really believes that! Being stuck in a hole in the ground instead of enjoying all the potential joys breathing can bring just does not seem like me to be a better place. Is there a God? It would seem that there is some power much greater than man to cause the universe and everything in it to exist but what evidence is there that it has any input or control over what occurs on Earth. Our planet is but a single grain of salt in an ocean greater that the Pacific and with that in mind, in the big scheme of things, what Being could possible give a rats a@# about us? We create our own individual heaven or hell as individuals or a nation. Prayer will not being you fortune or good health - getting an education, job and sound money management will be the tools to aquire a fortune, while not feeding your body poisons and seeing a doctor occasionally will allow you to live a long, fullfilling life unless a deadbeat, lazy SOB wants to take both from you and you don't shoot first. The Bible, Koran or any other writing which your particular religion bases it's faith on was written by man and we all know that man does not do anything without a motive, be it gaining fortune, favor or power. Even the most rabid Bible Thumper is compelled to admit the Bible has undergone countless revisions through translation and intrepretation so how can we in the 21st century have a clue what the original writing were. Just think about how bastardized the Constitution has become and it is only about 250 years old!!!! If you consider that many events presented in the Bible and Koran occurred before the written word existed, it would follow that when the Word was written it was written by men, or possibly women, based on what they had been told by stories passed on orally for generations. Just think how screwed up an event can be portrayed just being passed orally from the CO, to the Sergeant, to the Captain ----- . DISCLAIMER - I appologize to my bride, Tazz and anyone else I may have offended, it was not my intention, it was just to toss another thought in the pot. And Knuckledragger, I love the new picture, it resembles you so closely.

I can offer a little information on this Roadrunner. For openers, you did not offend me. You are entitled to your opinion just like anyone else.
Now, most people believe that Muslims and Christians worship the same god. Not so. Allah is NOT the god of Israel. Allah is an arabic sun god or something of that nature. (At least, I think that is what I read). Allah and God couldn't be more different. Christians worship the God of Israel; the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
I am not tolerant of Muslims at all and I admit that. It is my belief that Allah is a false god. Allah has always been a false god and always will be.
As I have said before, the fighting between the Arabs and Jews has been going on since Abraham and will continue. The Bible is very clear about Muslims.
You are on target with how many times the Bible has been translated. God knows it has been "changed" somewhat. Having said that, I must tell you that the Holy Spirit leads most of us. We read the Bible and try to live by it, but it is the Holy Spirit that ultimately leads us.

Well, all I can tell you guys is that there is only one true GOD and it sure ain't allah. Even if Moses did cross the reed sea, what a miracle, all those Egyptians drowning in ankle deep water, just think about how powerful Moses's GOD really is then. I have heard that allah was the name given to doll that belonged to the prohet mohammed's daughter and later put in the kabba. I don't know how true it is, nor does it matter. If those folks want to believe in allah, let them. Just don't infringe on my rights to believe the way I want, even if I want to worship my big toe as a god. If I offend a someone that believes in islam, then thats the way it must be, they don't mind trashin my or many other beliefs. So we will have to agree to disagree and wait for the final confronta- tion that most major religions believe is going to happen, in the Middle Eastern area.

It is true that muslins are the offspring of Abraham, when he had a wife induced relationship with hagar and that Ishmael is the father of all true, blood descended arab peoples. Both Jews and Arabs are his children but its like your and my kids, fightin for a birth right, which back in those days ment a great deal. The Bible is the infalable word of GOD and has been translated so many times that some of the translations just don't make very much sense. I'll stick with the original Authorized King James version and leave the rest of them to who wants to read them and quibble over whos right and whos wrong. I firmly believe the creators of that book did not have any hidden agenda in mind when they were translating the scriptures, as has been suggested, so many times. It was good enough for our fore-fathers, it's good enough for me. As for these so-called scientists and historians, that keep trying to discredit the Bible, they are about as smart as a box of ball- peen hammers. They just keep on whackin the anvil and accomp- lishing anything but giving themselves a severe headache. Good lock to them, maybe one day they will quit. Well I guess I've been on my soapbox much to long, so I'll get off and say mine is only my opinion and not yours but I appreciate each and everyone of you and deeply respect your GOD given right to your own opnion.

Okay, just checkin. I know, God is not happy with a whole bunch of us, me included and my cage needs to be rattled quite often. I'll just post a few blurbs once in a while and see who bites, sometimes I like to play D/A and see what comes up. Thanks for the info.

I like to keep the inmates thinking that I am till spring the trap shut and slam their a#$%#'s. I van even understand a little Spanish, which amazes them. They will talk and carry on and I then I write a CC or DR based on what they said or give them some exra duty. It's hoot to see their expression whent they realize BUSTED IN THE PANHANDLE.

Thursday, April 5 : Holy Thursday
Have you ever received a gift that you didn't even realize how valuable it was until a while after you got it? Later on you found out it was worth a ton. Well, I would bet that for many of us, we have had the same experience with the gift of the Eucharist. When we receive our first Holy Communion, we dress up all pretty, the whole family comes to town to witnesses the event, yet we really don't understand the incredible gift we just received. And for most of us we go through much of our life not realizing how valuable the gift is for years. Think about how absolutely incredible the Eucharist is. We are talking about the all-powerful, all-knowing God who created all, and who desires to be with us so much that he physically comes into our own body through the Eucharist. We don't have to imagine the Lord coming into our heart; he actually does it physically. So tonight, as we celebrate the Mass of the Last Supper, may we begin to understand the valuable gift God gave us in his own body and blood.

very good readings to read, especially these 3 days.
Friday, : Good Friday
Today is Good Friday. The day our Lord Jesus was crucified. The day when the innocent and spotless lamb was slaughtered for our sins. So let me propose just one question to you…
How much does Jesus love you? He gave you the answer. "This much," as he stretched out his arms on the cross… and died. For you.
That's how much he loves you. Think about it.
