Damn livetoride, sorry about your luck. God must be trying you in matters of faith. Don't worry though, if you believe what is written in the Bible you will be rewarded. Or on second thought, maybe you're being punished and you're already doing your time in Hell on Earth. ;D

Thanks Knuck:
Have to believe I still have that reward coming one day for the misses. I consider my continued employment with DC in our current state of affairs to be my penance regarding "Hell on Earth" LOL!

Why am I still here, well it is easy 23 years is hard to walk away from. I really would love to walk away and work for my church, but man walking from 23 years is just plain nuts. Having said that I know God is calling me to walk. I just ask he let me walk slowly .

I would like for Tater to go ahead and post about the wedding. Sorry Lance, but I feel a wedding is suitable for this thread. No matter what "religion" you profess to be, there are still vow's and ritual's that in one way or another have a religious connotation. Lance, let Tater post his wedding story.

Has anyone seen the article in "Christianity Today" about the recent archaeological finds in Israel? Particularly the one in Megiddo? (

Sorry Tazz, if I got a magazine like that I'd use it to start some fat lighter wood with. Anyway, what was the article supposed to be about? Had a thing on the History Channel about discovering the birth place of Jesus, is that it?

This particular article defines a mosaic floor that could possibly be the floor to the first christian church, What blows me away about that, is the find is in Megiddo. Since Megiddo is an ancient word for Armegeddon and is also where the "final" battle is supposed to take place, it just tickles my curiousity. Imagine...............ending where it all started.
Poetic justice?
If you used my magazine as a lightered knot, I will have to whoop you Knuck. I already owe you one for burying Santa. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Oh yeah Tazz, they had something about that on the History Channel too. Pretty neat I think, even if I don't believe Jesus to be God. Had this kid last week at the neighbors house ask me what my tattoo's meant. I proceeded to explain, and then he asked me if I was religious. I said I consider myself to be, but in my own way, meaning I don't put much stock in what the preacher man has to say. He then asked me why. I told him that I believe the Bible as we know it, has been tampered with so much through out the year's that I cannot go by it. He stated that he was going to start going to church more as a New Year's resolution. Although he was stunned by my answer, he did ask me what the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit meant, which kind of shocked me. I said what I think it means. He asked for a simpler answer. I tried rephrasing it. I said I think what it means is kinda like you have someone laying down thats not breathing, that would be Jesus. Now YOU come along, playing the part of God, and breathe air into this persons body giving him life, the air would be the holy spirit. Pretty much a C.P.R. kind of analogy. This lad got so excited talking to ME of all people, about religion that he wanted to borrow damn near every book I have on the subject and go through the Bible with my book's in hand trying to find "his" answer. I reckon God indeed does work in mysterious ways. B.T.W. Grouchymom, me and you ain't goin' to Hell. Satan would be too afraid that we'd take over. ;D

I guess that lad will figure things out on his own. I hope he is not confused. With our culture the way it exists, it is difficult to raise a child with a moral compass. But in 20 years when the really young ones are grown, things will really be screwed up. To me, the only way for a child to learn right/wrong is from the Bible.
Glad I won't be around in 20 years to see the melee.
