Reposted from the Corrections Foundation page. Thought we should get the word out for this MAN who laid his life down for his family, friends, and coworkers. RIP Brother. The officers and staff at Columbia CI are constructing a memorial in honor of fallen CO Sgt. Ruben Thomas. You can help build the memorial by purchasing a brick for a minimum donation of $35 and have your name and/or message engraved into the brick – a maximum of 39 characters, including spaces. Columbia CI’s goal is to have the funds in-hand and have the construction completed by March 18, 2013 – the one-year anniversary of Sgt. Thomas’ death. It will cost approximately $8,000 to build the memorial. Each brick is a 6″ x 9″ charcoal-colored paver stone and will be placed at the Columbia Correctional Institution’s Memorial Park at at 216 SE Corrections Way, Lake City, FL. If you’d like to purchase one or more bricks, visit www.correctionsfoundation.org/memorial-bricks-for-fallen-co-sgt-ruben-thomas-memorial-at-columbia-ci/. If you would prefer to simply make a donation and not purchase a brick you can do so going to do.nr/hMj.
