How about writing the fine individual we have running this state with this outrage:
Inmate Knight, Thomas 017434, already on Death Row for 2 first degree murders he commited in 1974, killed officer Richard burke 10/12/1980 by stabing him to death at Florida State Prison.
This piece of filth has been sitting on death row, waisting our good clean oxygen for 21 years after killing one of our officers. Not to mention the additional 6 years for killing two other people.
This is an outrage, I am writing a letter to Rick Scott demanding this POS be put to death as soon as possible.
Get on board, lets make this happen.

I agree, but the problem is he was resentenced in 1996. That became his appeals date. Still too long. www.floridacapitalcases.state.fl.us/case_updates/Htm/017434.htm

They cannot all of a sudden start executions too fast because it would cause alarm about their legal human rights. They have to slowly carry out the death penalty to avoid the protesters.

I think eventually the death penalty will not be imposed. Just the cost for appeals and all the other legal requirements will end up stopping it. There are staff in AG's Office that their only work is on death cases.
