Troopers: Drunk driver kills corrections officer in accident Corrections officer Jason Clay Russo worked at the Central Florida Reception Center north of State Road 528.
An accident involving an alleged drunk driver this morning in Orange County killed a state corrections officer, troopers said.
Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Kim Montes said 38-year-old Jason Clay Russo, a corrections officer at the Central Florida Reception Center, was still in his uniform and on his way home to Deltona when he was killed.
Troopers arrested 28-year-old Okevin Moradian, of Orlando, on charges of DUI manslaughter, vehicular homicide and refusal to submit to a DUI test.
Reports show Moradian was driving his 1996 Lexus southbound on Chuluota Road at 12:30 a.m. and approaching the intersection of Cypress Lake Glen Boulevard. Russo was on his 2003 Honda motorcycle traveling northbound on Chuluota Road and approaching the same intersection.
Moradian started turning left onto Cypress Lake Glen Boulevard — in violation of Russo's right-of-way — causing Russo's motorcycle to strike the right side of the Lexus.
The impact threw Russo from his motorcycle and killed him, the accident report shows. Montes said Russo had been wearing a safety helmet.
Moradian is being held at the Orange County Jail. His bond is set at $10,250. Copyright © 2010, Orlando Sentinel

Officer J. Russo worked with us at CFRC E/U as was newly certified. He survived THREE tours over seas and was killed by a drunk driver. Totaly unexcusable. He was what we call a "new cock" however he was a good officer and had the potential to do EXTREMELY well but some sorry BASTERED not only took him away from us at the department but also took him aways from his family. To Officer J. Russo..............thank you for defending our country and the rest of us in DOC. We now have another one watching over us and if I know him correctly he will do a DAMN GOOD JOB!!! You WILL be missed dearly.

Oh my god! This is something scary. Driving under influence can be very risky. It is advisable to have a good Los Angeles DUI attorney in contacts and preferably, a person shouldn’t be drinking while driving. Anyways, I am going to share this post with my uncle who is a cop.
