Corrections Officer Gets Life In Inmate’s Death Published: Tue, October 27, 2009 - 2:00 am CST Last Updated: Tue, October 27, 2009 - 2:44 am CST wkrg.com/483769Orlando, Florida - A former corrections officer at a federal prison has been sentenced to life in prison for violating an inmate's rights by arranging to have him killed. A federal judge in Orlando sentenced 33-year-old Erin Sharma on Monday. She was convicted of two civil rights violations in July. Prosecutors say Sharma was working at the Federal Correctional Complex in Coleman in February 2005 when inmate Richard Delano grabbed and bruised her arm. She reportedly put Delano in a cell with a notoriously violent inmate, John McCullah, who was told to assault the other man when she wasn't working. Delano was badly beaten March 4, 2005, and died about two weeks later.

Hmm, works for me. She saw that he liked to play rough and hooked him up with a rough playmate.

I guess retribution for getting grabbed and bruised is worth spending life in prison. Not very smart, there are many ways to get back without breaking the rules.

If our system were not so bleeding-heart, hug-a-thug that would have been legal. Why is it so upsetting when its the bully that gets beat down. He wanted to be Billy Badass, so he was introduced to the real McCoy. I cannot say I endorse or recommend it in today's world but it was sure enough fair.

I dont feel bad for the guy and as far as her......well maybe there wzs a better way to handle it but i dont blame her. her intentions might have only been an ass kicking and it got out of control. For a man to put his hands on a woman(unless protecting himself)he is a coward and a bully and should be treated as such. She might not have ment for him to die and only wanted to treat him a lesson. Still against policy but policy is broken every day.
