Just thinking that since the Teamsters are the collective bargaining unit shouldn't this forum section get a name change to reflect that fact? Just another random thought from your favorite guy to hate on this forum.

Commutes now of almost a hundred miles for some to keep a job. No raise Special comp a joke as of July. Of all the things their truck drivers etc pushed in the parking lots none of them became reality. There is a sucker born everyday they say.

We should leave it, then we won't have to change it back when everyone wakes up and kicks the teamsters out.

Are you passing out the PBA endorsement cards yet for an election??? Im sure most of us on this site will either be retired or deceased by the time that happens.

Seems to be alot of distention among the Florida Law Enforcement Agencies thats still with PBA . They got the same deal with their Comp Time too. 120 days to use or lose. Plus layoffs of agents. No raise. Seems like all of us got the same shaft. Only difference is PBA layed down, Teamsters didn't and went into impasse. I guess the PBA didn't want to piss off the state. Here's whats goin on in the Florida Dept of Alcohol and Firearms that is still with PBA. They don't seem too happy either. forums.leoaffairs.com/viewtopic.php?f=312&t=132967

The PBA at least got us more tham most other state employees when stuff was given out those years. The Teamsters appear to have gotten us a bigger reaming this year than most other state employees got.

that was then, when our inmate population was less then 110k, the only way we will get anything is if the state shrinks the amount of inmates we have and even that is not a guarantee.

As I said in another thread lawton, Look at the FHP contract the PBA fought "so hard" for. They told them to lay down and take it. They got shafted worst of all from what I read. But hey, That's just me, a little peon.

They got what we got it appears messed over on special comp etc but when I see the Teamsters get us more than other state employees in a given year I will give them credit and not before. The PBA did that a few years for us when compared to non-PBA state employees in the same year. The PBA also got FHP 5% that year when other state employees got just a bonus - the last year anything was basically given out.

That is in the past. What has PBA done for anybody they represent that is better than what the Teamsters have done for state COs under the Herr Himmler administration? Write this down lawton and try to imprint it in your brain. Weak Union Membership+ Anti Union and Anti State Employee Teabaggin Governor= POS Contract

Homer Tea party members are really not offended by the national liberal nickname you like to use. Just so you know.

BTW the topic of this thread was WEATHER OR NOT THIS FORUM SHOULD RECEIVE A NAME CHANGE. Because of the current bargaining unit. The arguments over who did more and who did less should be in another thread. But I would not expect either side to get that point. because they are both blinded by ideology.
