Prison officer arrested on charges of battery, criminal mischief

A sergeant at a state prison was fired after being thrown out of the same bar twice early Thursday morning for fondling women.
Investigators said the man may have been seeking revenge when he was later spotted on video cameras slashing tires in the bar's parking lot. Then, while being taken to jail, a deputy said the man threatened him with -- among other things -- killing the deputy's entire family.
James Leslie Cassidy, 47, of Cross City, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office on two counts of battery, six counts of criminal mischief and for disorderly intoxication and corruption.
Within hours he was fired by the Florida Department of Corrections, according to the agency. State records showed Cassidy had been a sergeant at Cross City Correctional Institution and had worked for the prison system for nearly 24 years.

They are going to keep up with firing people until someone shows them. "You are innocent until PROVEN guilty." I garuntee the termination packet said "Willfully violating Florida Statutes resulting in conduct unbecoming a State Official." Therefor they are saying he is guilty of the charges without even being arraigned. I know a former warden who did that to a staff member adn got sent home after the staff member was cleared of all charges and was returned back pay, accrued leave adna position at anther facility.
