I look at it this way, the state of Florida is punishing inmates the way they and the bleeding heart liberals deem necessary. It is NOT my job to punish them further. My job is to enforce institutional rules and regulations, and to make sure that any Officer that works in a dorm that I supervise does the same. Should an inmate violate rules of any kind, disciplinary steps are taken. If an inmate becomes violent and begins to harm a fellow Officer, I'll bust that stupid ass in a heartbeat and not think twice about it.
I personally feel that executions should be held once a month and take those pieces of shit out of our pockets. All these "stays of execution" are horse shit.
And I know we were playing' around when we mentioned "Obedience Collars", but think about it, it would be friggin great to know that an inmate WILL follow the rules in lew of pain...
Give hugs to inmates, and what are ya teachin em? Nothing. THey'll just return a short time later to become another additional burden to our already overburdened tax dollars..

I'm sorry, but I was being dead serious when I mentioned electrifying the cell doors. I was being dead serious when I mentioned the return of Corporal Punishment in a different post. I have been both a Soldier and CONVICT GUARD. As a Soldier, I had less rights than ANY piece of sh*t inmate you can think of. There were times I didn't eat, slept in the mud, lost friends over politics (Got to love Clinton for not allowing the money for things like BODY ARMOR and sending us to fight other country's wars) , no mail because no one was allowed to know where we were at, no kind of hygiene facilities, no such thing as privacy. You had to take a sh*t? Better dig a cat hole and hope to sonny Jesus you didn't wander too far from your squad. Oh, you need a shower? Well you can take a bath AND wash your clothes when we cross this river. My combat load was around 100 lbs. (better know how to swim). These are SOME of the things I had to endure on a daily basis. And I consider myself lucky. Funny isn't it? Do you think I give a flying monkey f*ck if some piece of sh*t inmate doesn't have a piece of cake on his tray? F*CK NO! Do you think I care that his greens got mixed in with his grits and wants a different tray? DON'T LIKE IT? DON'T F*CKING EAT THEN! Do you think I care if an inmate has to work almost ever single day? OH F*CKING WELL, I HAVE TO! Do I care if he doesn't get mail from one of the stupid b*tchs he strings along to get money from? HELL NO! I don't give a rats a*s about the plight of some baby raping, child killing, murderous thug. Do you think I care that an inmate decided to tie a*s with the wrong Officer and got his a*s handed to him? NOPE! I have gotten into p*ssing contests when I bring up the inmate "rights" thing versus me being a Soldier. They often say, "Well you CHOSE to enlist in the United States Army." My reply? They chose to enlist in the Florida Department of Corrections, when they were out robbing and killing. I do not start sh*t with inmates just because I can, or to have a good time. I do not use force on an inmate unless I determine all other options have been exhausted (sometimes you only have a split second). I do what is REQUIRED of me and nothing else. I am more of the CONVICT GUARD type than a "Correctional Officer" because I don't play their games. I do not write D.R.'s over petty things. I am not afraid to put hands on one when it is deemed necessary. I don't care about cussing one out who started some bullsh*t. My kind is what the Dept. does not want, but NEEDS. Sometimes you need "killers" to deal with killers.

Knuck, there are a good many of us that served our country that the Dept. of Corrections seem to no longer want but we are the ones who held the damn thing together for the past 20-30 years and saved a many ass when the shit hit the fan. We all endured many bad times from the Mekong Delta to Iraq and many usless wars in between. At least the convict is getting respect from someone. Many of us never got, in fact we were and still are being treated worse than a convict ever dreamed of. We are the ones that not only can, we will take the steps to control any inmate that gets out of hand, what ever it takes. One must remember that the inmate is in control and his actions deem what action we take to control. God bless you my brother.

I just had an epiphany! Ol Tommy says we are the kind that get people hurt. I just realized by him/her not taking action to "correct" certain actions committed by some punk a*s inmates, he/she is the type to get one of us f*cked up. I bet that motherf*cker would run like a b*tch if two inmates were fighting, and then be John Wayne when and if the Calvary showed up. I'd ask the two inmates if they were done yet, got their issue resolved, and send them on their merry way. I wonder if he/she even knows corrections 101? JUST SAY NO!

Knuckledragger;
Dude what can one say after the most eloquent speech a Neanderthal has given. I mean that in a thank God he has my back type way. Once more you have proved why I say, "KNUCK FOR PRESIDENT."
Tell it brother, thank you for representing.
As always my respect for both your career choices and service.
P. S. I don't see any more postings by tiny tommie. Perhaps it was just some idiot playing in our sandbox. I really think it was some administrator hoping we'd respond with tall tales he could take to his bosses.
