Alright y'all, since name that tune was being played on the "Knuckledragger" thread, I thought I'd start a thread about trivia. It can be about ANYTHING. I would like for one question to be asked at a time and be given enough time to have a response to it. Someone can go ahead and post the FIRST question, and when it is answered, we will move on to another question. The first one who answers the question correctly, gets to post the next question. ;D

He was a famed U.S. Geological Survey astronomer who wanted to be an astronaut but was rejected because of a medical problem. He trained the Apollo astronauts about craters, but never made it into space. His ashes were placed on board a spacecraft before it was launched on January 6, 1998. NASA crashed the probe into a crater on the moon in an attempt to learn if there is water on the moon.
