OK not trying to be a party pooper but I've been to that stores physical location, the stripe on the class A pants are narrower than those on the state pants and they're a different shade of brown. Also the polo's are made out of some weird material and they kind of look like they've been washed too many times in iron water. Not to mention that this store is not an approved vendor (I've been sent home to change out of a shirt I got from there). So for what it's worth if you do get stuff from there just get one of each and see if your OIC notices the difference.

toots76, I guess they have enough staff to send one home to change clothes.
Who are the so called approved vendors? The uniforms the State gives us are crap. Button holes do not line up with buttons, buttons on the BDU trousers, heck I had permanent press fatigues with zippers in the military, but that was during the Civil War.
Hot class A shirts with zippers. I wish I could form an approve company to sell staff a decent uniform.

Some days we are tripping all over each other but I promise you quantity DOES NOT equal quality. Besides I live like 10 minutes up the road. I'm not sure if the web-site mentioned was linked to the store in Starke or Perry (the one in Perry goes by Cop Shop as well). I do know the Perry store is not an authorized vendor but I don't know about the one in Starke. I was unaware of the Starke store until Lance let me know, so I apologize if it seams was talking out of my arse. I wasn't trying to be a butthole I just didn't want anybody wasting their hard earned money on something they couldn't use.

Well, Officer's make the uniform since the uniform doesn't make a Officer. So basically, it doesn't matter where you buy it.

Better quality BDU's are a must if we are expected to look professional.

07/29/11 rule proposal to shave the beards off. I have already started shaving a few spots ( look like I have the mange), you know it is going to happen. You would think Light Years would want the xtra hair of course the private companies do not have beards.

I see that happening since many do not keep keep it in compliance which ruins it for others that do.

Just more harassment by Gov. Psycho and his Republikin privatizing friends. For those of you who voted for him, how you like him now?

I have two Stratton 7 1/4 issued straw hats, two pairs of Rocky 10.5 Paraboots, and one pair of Corcoran 10.5 Mach boots listed on Ebay. Cleaning out the closet since I retired. On Ebay search for Rocky / Corcoran Boots and Stratton Hats. Thanks.

LOL might have a hard time selling them down here in Region IV. Nobody's buying uniforms, since we may be wearing CCA and GEO ones soon.

It often appears that those boots don't come with instructions on how to polish them.

It often appears that those boots don't come with instructions on how to polish them. You are sooo correct. However, I must admit the types of leather used on many of the tactical boots is very hard or impossible to get "spit shined". One of my children just got dress shoes of NJROTC it took less than 2 hours to "spit shine" all of the shoe

Use a Leather Luster Kit. They will look like glass and wear like iron.
