New Policy came out in the last couple days, that states that all promotional raises will now be 5% of current pay or 5% over bottom of pay scale for that position. It also makes a provision that the local administrator can request additional pay for an individual. There is a form to make such requests.

I wonder what the top is on that administrator allowed extra? I know one guy that got a 15% raise and the next guy only got a 4% the guy that got the 15% also made more than the guy that got a 4% raise and it was for a Lt position in both cases. This policy is no good at all.

Here is how it works.
Lets say the broadband pay for the position is 30 thousand dollars to 70 thousand dollards.
The position is funded by the legislature at the top amount, the 70 thousand dollars.
If the department gets by paying 35 thousand dollars. That means the left over 35 thousand dollars is operating money.
Just to let all of you know how it works.

Nice way of making things work, that also allows a lot of favoritism for pay raises too doesn't it?

That along with vacancies which are funded is where the overtime monies come from also. But we can not have overtime. Go figure. So if one takes a demotion then they should not loose monies if they are within the broadband, NOT.

That's true, I can verify that one person got a 15% raise when he made Lt the next guy from the same pool only got 4% The second guy was lower paid to start thatn the first guy. What a shame for that second guy

If there are provisions set for your supervisor to request a pay increase, where do I find these. Is there a DC form, if so what is the form #. Is there a DC Procedure # as well confirming this. I've looked with no luck. Thanks.

It is not a DC form, it is a DMS form.
Now, did you know that your supervisor can put you in for a 500 dollar bonus? Yep, DMS form also.
The department operates through DMS rules. Read the rules know what these people are not doing.
Also, staffing issue, all it is is for the Secretary to file the forms with DMS. No legislative approval needed. But, the funding has to come out of existing funds.
